Homemade Pepperoni Roll Recipe

Pepperoni rolls are a staple in West Virginia & one of my favorite things to eat. I felt like I needed to have a "staple" pepperoni roll recipe so I looked into recipes online. After I tried one I realized some differences I wanted to include in my recipe. So without further rambling, here's my pepperoni roll recipe

What You Need

frozen dinner rolls, pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, 1 beaten egg, oregano, garlic powder, olive oil, parchment paper.

Thaw Dinner Rolls (4-6 hours)

Place 12 dinner rolls on a baking pan and cover with a towel. Tip: if you'll be home all day, set these out first thing in the morning so you can cook them in the afternoon.

Pre-Heat Oven to 400 degrees

*Once the dinner rolls have thawed and your ready to begin baking.*

Flatten Thawed Dinner Rolls

On a work space, flatten out the dinner rolls into circles.

Mix egg, dash of oregano, dash of garlic salt, and Parmesan cheese & spread about 1 tbsp onto the rolls

There is flexibility with this step, feel free to play around with the amount of oregano, garlic and cheese to your liking.

Add pepperoni

There is flexibility with the amount, some people like a lot and some like a little- do what suits you!

Add Mozzarella Cheese

This can be sliced or shredded. Add amount to your liking.

Roll 'em up and pinch the ends.

Don't worry about the ends completely sticking together, place the joined part at the bottom and it will bake together.

Cover baking Sheet with Parchment Paper

This will help the bottom part bake together and not stick to the baking sheet.

Brush Olive Oil & on top & sprinkle oregano

Brush the tops with olive oil and sprinkle oregano. If you would like, you can sprinkle some Parmesan cheese on top as well.

Bake for 12-15 Minutes

Bake until the top is a golden brown.

Let 'em cool & Enjoy :)

Hope y'all enjoy! Here is a virtual recipe card to screenshot!
